Camilo Durán Leads Celtic Past Aberdeen as Rangers Edge Falkirk

Camilo Durán continued his prolific start at Celtic by opening the scoring in a 3-0 Scottish Premiership victory over Aberdeen at Parkhead. The Guardian reported that the Colombian striker's latest contribution helped the defending champions secure a fourth consecutive league win and preserve their perfect start to the title defence.

Durán struck in the 14th minute, collecting a pass from Benjamin Nygren before sending a long-range shot in off the crossbar. It was his sixth goal in five appearances for Martin O'Neill's team since his close-season move from Qarabag. Nygren and Yang Hyun-jun also scored as Celtic completed the result before half-time.

The evening began with an ovation for former Celtic and Liverpool player Kenny Dalglish, who appeared on the pitch before kickoff. The 75-year-old said earlier in 2026 that he was receiving cancer treatment. Celtic's win moved them two points clear of St Mirren at the top of the table.

St Mirren remained second after earning a 1-0 victory at Kilmarnock, their first win at Rugby Park in 13 years. Fraser Taylor supplied the decisive moment in the third minute, scoring his first goal for the club.

Rangers also collected three points, beating Falkirk 2-1 through two goals from captain Lawrence Shankland. He put Rangers ahead in the seventh minute before Kosta Nedeljkovic, making his first start for the club after joining on loan from Aston Villa, turned Ethan Ross's cross into his own net shortly before the interval. Shankland restored the lead with a curled finish in the 79th minute.

Elsewhere, Motherwell moved into third place with a 3-0 win over Dundee United. Seb Palmer-Houlden, Alex Lowry and Dylan Levitt each scored their first Motherwell goals. St Johnstone and Dundee drew 1-1 in the Tayside derby after Josh Fowler equalised in the 90th minute, three minutes after Charlie Reilly had put Dundee ahead.
