Calvert-Lewin earns Leeds draw as Manchester United go six games without a win
Dominic Calvert-Lewin cancelled out Bryan Mbeumo's opener in a 1-1 draw at Elland Road. Manchester United's winless run reached six matches in all competitions.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored after half-time to secure Leeds United a 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester United at Elland Road on Sunday. Bryan Mbeumo had put the visitors ahead, but Michael Carrick's team could not turn that advantage into victory. BBC Sport reported that United have now gone six matches without winning in all competitions.

Watch the highlights:

The result left Manchester United 13th, with Leeds seventh and three points ahead of their opponents. According to BBC Sport's match report, United had not experienced a six-game winless sequence since the closing stages of the 2018-19 season. Leeds, meanwhile, maintained an unbeaten home record in all competitions stretching back to March.

Both teams had opportunities before the opening goal. Senne Lammens kept out Nico Elvedi's header, while Mbeumo missed the target with an unmarked header at the other end. The United forward then converted Youri Tielemans' delivery 10 minutes before half-time, getting past James Justin to give Carrick's side the lead at the break.

Leeds responded through Calvert-Lewin after Tarik Muharemovic met a corner. BBC's assessment by Simon Stone described how the striker controlled the ball and finished despite Mbeumo's attempt to hold him off. It followed an earlier header wide and another directed at Lammens, with Calvert-Lewin becoming more involved after a quiet opening to the match.

United changed their defence at the interval, replacing Lisandro Martinez with Noussair Mazraoui. The substitute later made an important block in added time, according to Stone's account. Mason Mount came on for Carlos Baleba, and Matheus Cunha replaced Tielemans late in the game. Leeds introduced Lukas Nmecha for Noah Okafor and Sean Longstaff for Ao Tanaka.

Neither side found a decisive second goal. Tanaka sent a long-range attempt over, while Baleba also missed from distance and Amad Diallo had a second-half effort blocked. Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford had earlier left his penalty area to clear danger. The equaliser ultimately stood, leaving Leeds with a point and United still searching for a return to winning form.
