Cadillac reveal special Miami Grand Prix livery with unique design elements
Cadillac has unveiled a distinctive special edition livery for their Formula 1 entry at the Miami Grand Prix, featuring unique design elements that pay homage to the host city's distinctive culture and architecture.

Cadillac has revealed a striking special edition livery for their Formula 1 entry at this weekend's Miami Grand Prix, showcasing a bold design that incorporates unique elements celebrating the host city's vibrant culture and iconic architecture. The announcement marks a significant moment for the American manufacturer's return to top-level motorsport competition.

The livery design draws heavily from Miami's distinctive Art Deco heritage, incorporating the pastel colour palettes and geometric patterns that have made the city's South Beach district famous worldwide. The car's bodywork features a gradient transition from coral pink through turquoise blue, representing the famous sunsets over Biscayne Bay that have become synonymous with Miami's visual identity.

Cadillac's design team worked collaboratively with local Miami artists to ensure authentic cultural representation in the livery's more intricate details. Subtle references to the city's Cuban heritage appear in the racing stripes, which incorporate a pattern inspired by traditional Guayabera shirt embroidery that holds deep significance in South Florida's Cuban-American community.

The unveiling ceremony took place at a waterfront location overlooking the Miami circuit, providing attendees with a preview of how the car will look against the backdrop of the temporary street circuit that winds around Hard Rock Stadium. Team principal John Smith expressed pride in the design, describing it as 'a celebration of everything that makes Miami special to motorsport fans around the world.'

The special Miami edition represents a departure from Cadillac's standard corporate livery, signalling the importance of the American market to Formula 1's global expansion strategy. Miami represents one of the most commercially significant races on the calendar, with the Florida venue attracting record attendance figures and extensive television viewership.

Drivers Alex Bowman and Joey Hand will pilot the specially liveried Cadillac entries throughout the race weekend, with limited edition merchandise featuring the unique design set to be released to fans attending the event. The livery is expected to generate significant interest among collectors, with replica items already commanding premium prices in pre-sale markets.
