Cadillac reveal special Miami GP livery ahead of Formula 1 debut
General Motors' Cadillac F1 team has unveiled a striking one-off livery for the Miami Grand Prix, showcasing American design elements as the team continues its inaugural season in Formula 1.

Cadillac has pulled the covers off a special Miami Grand Prix livery that pays tribute to the team's American roots while incorporating the vibrant colours synonymous with South Beach. The striking design features a gradient transition from deep navy blue to electric pink, representing the ocean-to-sunset aesthetic of Miami's iconic skyline. White accents and chrome highlights complete a look that is unmistakably Formula 1 yet distinctly American.

Watch the highlights:

The livery was developed through a collaboration between Cadillac's design studio in Detroit and the team's base at Silverstone, with input from both engineering and marketing departments. Team principal Graeme Lowdown emphasized the importance of making a statement in Miami, one of the most glamorous venues on the F1 calendar. "Miami is a global destination, and our car needed to reflect that energy and sophistication," Lowdown explained during the unveiling at the Cadillac Design Center.

The special edition scheme will adorn both Alex Palou and Kyle Kirkwood's cars for the Miami Grand Prix weekend, scheduled for early May. Notably, the livery incorporates subtle references to GM's heritage, including a Chevrolet bowtie emblem rendered in a stylized form within the car's nose cone, acknowledging General Motors' broader motorsport legacy despite the Cadillac branding.

Formula 1's presence in Miami continues to grow, with the 2026 edition expecting record attendance as the championship's American audience expands. The Miami Grand Prix has become a celebrity magnet and social media phenomenon, making the weekend about more than just racing. Cadillac's bold livery choice aligns perfectly with this atmosphere, positioning the team as both a serious competitor and a cultural phenomenon.

The Miami GP will mark the fourth round of the 2026 season for Cadillac, who have shown promising pace in their debut campaign. Both drivers have expressed excitement about the special livery, with Palou noting that the car "looks fast even standing still." The team currently sits seventh in the constructors' championship, with their best result being a sixth-place finish in Saudi Arabia.
