Browns Hold Two First-Round Picks as 2026 Draft Nears: Who Could Land at Six?
The Cleveland Browns possess both the sixth and 24th overall selections in the upcoming NFL Draft, and with needs at left tackle and wide receiver, the franchise faces an intriguing decision at number six.

The Cleveland Browns head into the 2026 NFL Draft with two first-round picks and significant question marks at two premium positions, making this one of the most consequential drafts in recent franchise history.

General manager Andrew Berry holds both the sixth and 24th overall selections heading into a draft that could reshape the Browns' offensive infrastructure for years to come. The sixth pick carries particular intrigue given the caliber of player historically available at that position.

Looking at the last decade's worth of sixth-overall selections reveals a consistently impressive list of NFL talent. In 2025, running back Ashton Jeanty went sixth to the Las Vegas Raiders. The 2024 selection saw wide receiver Malik Nabers join the New York Giants, while 2023's pick was offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. heading to the Arizona Cardinals.

The list continues with a remarkable concentration of offensive talent. Ikem Ekwonu (Carolina Panthers, 2022), Jaylen Waddle (Miami Dolphins, 2021), Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers, 2020), and Daniel Jones (New York Giants, 2019) all feature prominently. The 2018 selection, guard Quenton Nelson from Notre Dame, has become one of the league's most dominant interior linemen.

Defensive players also appear prominently, with safety Jamal Adams selected sixth by the New York Jets in 2017 and offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley going to the Baltimore Ravens in 2016.

The Browns enter this draft with clear needs. Left tackle represents perhaps their most pressing hole on the offensive line, while wide receiver remains a position where additional talent could significantly upgrade the passing game for whoever lines up under center.

Cleveland has hosted multiple top prospects from those position groups on top-30 visits in recent weeks, suggesting they are actively narrowing their focus. Whether they target the best available tackle or receiver will depend heavily on how the board falls in front of them.

With the sixth pick, the Browns could add a potential foundation piece — a player capable of anchoring their offensive line for the next decade or becoming a primary target in the passing game. The decisions made on draft night will go a long way toward determining whether Cleveland can take the next step in the AFC North race.
