Bristol City Stun Burnley as West Ham and Middlesbrough Win

Bristol City scored twice in the closing stages to beat Burnley 2-1 at Turf Moor and leave the relegated hosts at the bottom of the Championship. According to a Press Association roundup published by The Guardian, Rob Dickie equalised in the 82nd minute before substitute Yu Hirakawa completed the turnaround with a stoppage-time strike.

Burnley had taken the lead through Aaron Ramsey in the 56th minute, but could not protect their advantage. The defeat left manager Nicky Hayen with two points from five league matches since his appointment in July following the club's relegation from the Premier League. Supporters expressed their frustration after the final whistle, with some directing their anger toward owner Alan Pace. Hayen said he understood their disappointment and that his team had to continue fighting and showing resilience.

West Ham earned their second home victory in five days by beating Derby 3-0. Joël Piroe opened the scoring early, before substitutes Edvin Austbø and Mohamadou Kanté added late goals. Both substitutes registered their first goals for the club, giving the final score a more emphatic appearance after West Ham had lost some of their early fluency.

Elsewhere, Mikkel Ladefoged scored late to earn Lincoln a 1-1 draw against Southampton after Welington had put the visitors ahead. Stoke defeated 10-man Charlton 4-0, with debutant Justin Devenny scoring twice, while Callum Lang's early double helped Preston beat local rivals Blackburn 2-1. The results formed part of a busy Championship programme shaped by several decisive late goals.
