Boyd: Rangers Need to Win Every Game Now or Season Is Over
Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has delivered a stark warning to his old club, claiming they must win all remaining matches or risk finishing the season with nothing to show for their efforts.

Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has delivered a withering assessment of his old club's precarious position, insisting the Ibrox side must now win every remaining game to rescue their season. The warning comes as Rangers trail Celtic by eight points in the Scottish Premiership title race, with Philippe Clement's side also facing the prospect of early Champions League exit following their heavy first-leg defeat to Fenerbahce. Speaking on Sky Sports, Boyd was unsparing in his critique. "Let's be honest with ourselves here, Rangers cannot afford any more slip-ups," the ex-forward stated. "Celtic are in pole position and showing no signs of faltering. For Rangers to mount any kind of challenge, they need to treat every match as a cup final from now until the end of the season." The severity of the situation has been compounded by Rangers' recent home defeat to Celtic at Ibrox, a result that effectively handed their city rivals a commanding advantage in the title race. Clement's men have also struggled in European competition, with the 3-1 deficit against Fenerbahce leaving them with a mountain to climb in Thursday's return leg. "I've seen this before at Rangers," Boyd continued. "When you get into this kind of position, you need leaders in that dressing room to step up. The fans deserve better than what they're witnessing. It's not just about the title anymore - it's about pride." Rangers face a crucial run of fixtures, including the second leg against Fenerbahce and a potentially title-defining clash with Celtic at Parkhead next month. The Scottish Cup offers another route to silverware, but Boyd believes the pressure is now firmly on Clement and his squad to deliver immediately.
