Bournemouth beat 10-man Milan 3-0 to maintain perfect Europa League start
Bournemouth made it three Europa League wins from three with a 3-0 victory over AC Milan. Two penalties and Amine Adli's late free-kick settled a match in which visiting goalkeeper Mike Maignan was sent off.

Bournemouth defeated AC Milan 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday, October 22, extending their winning start in the Europa League to three matches. According to Sky Sports, the result moved Marco Rose's side into third place in the competition's table during the club's first European campaign.

Watch the highlights:

Justin Kluivert put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot in the eighth minute. Milan's official match report said the decision followed a video review after Evanilson's header struck Koni De Winter's hand. Bournemouth continued to create opportunities after taking the lead, with Ryan Christie's effort from outside the penalty area requiring Maignan to gather the ball at the second attempt.

Milan then lost their goalkeeper to a straight red card following an incident involving Tyler Adams inside the penalty area. Another penalty was awarded, and Lorenzo Torriani replaced Omari Hutchinson to take over in goal. Marcus Tavernier converted in the 32nd minute, leaving the visitors two goals behind and a player short before the interval.

Milan introduced Davide Bartesaghi and Adrien Rabiot at half-time but could not reduce the deficit. Their club report recorded a second-half header from De Winter that Bournemouth cleared behind. Amine Adli added the third goal with an 84th-minute free-kick, while Torriani subsequently denied Rayan. The defeat was Milan's second in Europe this season, following an earlier loss to Benfica.

Rose praised Bournemouth's performance before the dismissal as well as their handling of the numerical advantage, Sky Sports reported. He said his players had started strongly against eleven opponents and stressed the need to remain humble over a long season. Milan coach Ruben Amorim, meanwhile, pointed to his team's mistakes and the importance of keeping all eleven players on the pitch.

The occasion also brought a family connection for the opening scorer. BBC Sport noted that Kluivert's father, Patrick, had scored Ajax's winning goal against Milan in the Champions League final 31 years earlier. Bournemouth's victory came in only their third European fixture, and followed wins over Real Sociedad and Sturm Graz, giving supporters another notable result in their debut continental season.
