Bournemouth appoint Scott Rose as successor to departed Iraola
Bournemouth have appointed Scott Rose as their new head coach following Andoni Iraola's departure to Aston Villa, with the club aiming to build on their recent Premier League survival.

Bournemouth have confirmed the appointment of Scott Rose as their new head coach, replacing Andoni Iraola who departed for Aston Villa earlier this month. Rose, 38, arrives from Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt where he led them to consecutive top-three finishes in the Eliteserien.

Watch the highlights:

The Cherries finished 12th in the Premier League last season under Iraola, their highest-ever top-flight finish, and the club's hierarchy are keen to maintain that momentum. Rose signed a three-year contract at the Vitality Stadium on Monday.

"This is an incredible opportunity," Rose said at his unveiling. "Bournemouth has made remarkable progress, and I want to continue that trajectory. The squad has excellent quality, and I'll work to ensure we build on what was achieved last season."

Technical director Simon Cole added: "Scott's tactical approach and man-management skills impressed us greatly. His philosophy aligns perfectly with our ambitions for sustainable progress."

Rose began his coaching career at Molde before moving to Bodø/Glimt, where he developed a reputation for attacking football. He will take charge of pre-season preparations in July.

Bournemouth face a busy summer as they look to strengthen a squad that conceded 62 league goals last season. The club has already been linked with several defenders ahead of Rose's first transfer window.
