Bijan Robinson runs for 194 yards as Falcons beat Packers 35-14

Atlanta defeated Green Bay 35-14 at Lambeau Field on Thursday, with Bijan Robinson running for 194 yards and two touchdowns as the Falcons secured their first win of the NFL season. According to BBC Sport, the Packers were booed by home supporters during a defeat that left both teams with 1-2 records.

The result followed a difficult opening to Atlanta's campaign. The Falcons had lost their first two games, including a 34-3 home defeat by Carolina on Sunday, before producing 498 yards of offence against Green Bay. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr returned following knee surgery, with BBC Sport reporting that his comeback helped an attack that had struggled in those opening losses.

Robinson contributed 19 receiving yards in addition to his rushing total, while Drake London finished with 194 receiving yards from nine catches. Atlanta amassed 242 yards on the ground overall. Green Bay, by contrast, managed only 17 rushing yards from nine attempts, with its total offensive output reaching 328 yards. That left the hosts 170 yards behind Atlanta in overall production.

Green Bay had struck first through a Christian Watson touchdown, but Atlanta responded with 27 consecutive points. Bijan Robinson, Austin Hooper and Brian Robinson Jr all scored touchdowns during that run, while Nick Folk kicked two field goals. Matthew Golden later scored for the Packers before Bijan Robinson's second touchdown completed the scoring for the visitors.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur described the performance as a "butt-whooping" and said his side needed to respond better, according to the BBC report. He did not attribute the defeat to a single problem. Green Bay entered the game without defensive star Micah Parsons and running back Josh Jacobs, and had lost two offensive linemen to injury in the previous week's victory at the New York Jets.

The win brought Atlanta level with Green Bay after three games, despite the teams arriving at Lambeau following sharply contrasting results. Their next assignments are both away from home: the Packers are due to visit Tampa Bay next Sunday, while the Falcons travel to divisional opponents New Orleans a week on Monday.
