Belloumi rescues Hull draw as Everton remain unbeaten
Mohamed Belloumi scored as a substitute to earn Hull City a 2-2 home draw with Everton after both teams led in the second half.

Hull City recovered from losing a second-half lead to draw 2-2 with Everton at the MKM Stadium on Sunday, with substitute Mohamed Belloumi scoring the equaliser. RTÉ reported that the result extended Hull's unbeaten home run since their return to the Premier League.

Watch the highlights:

The hosts entered the match having suffered their first defeat of the league campaign against Newcastle in their final fixture before the international break, according to RTÉ. They avoided a second successive loss, although a match that was scoreless at half-time eventually required a response from their bench.

Brennan Johnson appeared to have put Everton ahead before the interval, but a video assistant referee review disallowed his effort. RTÉ reported that Joe Gelhardt then opened the scoring early in the second half after an Ainsley Maitland-Niles error. The breakthrough gave Hull the advantage after neither side had managed a goal that stood during the opening period.

Everton's reply came through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who headed in Maitland-Niles' cross in the 55th minute, according to Sky Sports. Thierno Barry completed the turnaround in the 68th minute after being set up by Dewsbury-Hall. The striker had missed earlier opportunities before finally beating Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis to make it 2-1.

Belloumi restored parity six minutes later, beating Jordan Pickford with a low finish after coming on. Sky Sports reported that he had started among the substitutes because of tiredness following the international break. His intervention ensured Everton remained unbeaten but were unable to take all three points from their visit.

Everton manager David Moyes told Sky Sports he was frustrated with both the performance and the defensive lapses. He considered an away point a reasonable return but believed his team should have won, particularly after moving ahead. He also said too few players had performed to the standard he expected.

Hull head coach Sergej Jakirovic, speaking to Sky Sports, praised his players' mentality in recovering to equalise. He described the draw as a good point against opponents who had gone unbeaten through six games.
