Bears beat Seahawks as Broncos seize AFC West lead in NFL week eight
Chicago beat Seattle 34-17 behind three D’Andre Swift rushing touchdowns, while Denver rallied past Kansas City. Minnesota lost its unbeaten record and Tampa Bay won without completing a pass.

Chicago closed the NFL's eighth week with a 34-17 victory over defending Super Bowl champions Seattle on Monday night, while Denver's comeback against Kansas City changed the lead in the AFC West. The Bears improved to 6-2 with their third consecutive win, overcoming a fourth-quarter Seattle rally before scoring the game's final 14 points, according to their official game report.

Watch the highlights:

D'Andre Swift supplied three rushing touchdowns for Chicago, finishing with 69 yards on 27 carries. Caleb Williams completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown. Seattle narrowed a 20-9 deficit to 20-17 when Sam Darnold found Cooper Kupp for a seven-yard score and added a two-point conversion pass to Tory Horton.

Chicago answered through a 39-yard reception by Kalif Raymond that helped set up Swift's second touchdown. Austin Booker then deflected a Darnold pass into the hands of James Lynch, whose interception put the Bears close to Seattle's goal line. Swift's third touchdown extended the advantage to 34-17 with 4:41 remaining. Booker also blocked a field-goal attempt, the team reported.

Elsewhere, BBC Sport reported that Denver recovered from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat Kansas City 28-24. The Broncos stopped the Chiefs near the goal line late in the game, improving to 6-2 and moving above their 5-2 divisional rivals. Patrick Mahomes finished with 321 passing yards and three touchdown passes, but Kansas City could not hold its lead.

Minnesota's unbeaten start also ended. Detroit defeated the Vikings 19-15, with Jahmyr Gibbs rushing for 153 yards and a touchdown, according to BBC Sport's roundup. Minnesota had entered the divisional meeting at 6-0, while the result lifted Detroit to 5-2. The Vikings were the last NFL team still without a defeat before the loss.

Tampa Bay delivered another unusual result in a 16-0 win over Atlanta. BBC Sport reported that Baker Mayfield completed none of his three pass attempts in torrential rain, while the Buccaneers amassed a franchise-record 324 rushing yards. Bucky Irving contributed 170 yards and Kenneth Gainwell added 140 as Tampa Bay won without a completed pass.
