Bears beat Seahawks 34-17 as Vikings lose unbeaten record in NFL week eight
D'Andre Swift scored three second-half touchdowns as Chicago won in Seattle to reach 6-2. Detroit ended Minnesota's unbeaten start, while Denver overtook Kansas City in the AFC West.

Chicago beat the Seattle Seahawks 34-17 on Monday Night Football to secure a third consecutive victory, with D'Andre Swift scoring three rushing touchdowns. According to BBC Sport's week-eight report, the Bears improved to 6-2 by defeating the reigning Super Bowl champions, following their previous win over the New England Patriots, last season's Super Bowl runners-up.

Watch the highlights:

All three of Swift's touchdowns came after half-time. The 27-year-old provided Chicago's scoring impetus on the ground, while a defence led by newly signed defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons restricted Seattle. The result gave the Bears successive victories against the two teams that contested the previous Super Bowl and completed a week in which several leading teams were beaten.

Elsewhere in the NFC North, Minnesota lost its unbeaten record with a 19-15 defeat at Detroit. The Vikings entered the divisional meeting at 6-0, but Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown to help the Lions improve to 5-2. BBC Sport reported that Detroit linebacker Jack Campbell was taken to hospital for treatment of a neck injury sustained while tackling tight end TJ Hockenson in the fourth quarter.

Denver also changed the standings in its division, recovering from an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat Kansas City 28-24. The Broncos moved to 6-2 and replaced the 5-2 Chiefs at the top of the AFC West. Patrick Mahomes passed for 321 yards and three touchdowns, but Denver's defence stopped Kansas City at the goal line late in the game to secure the win.

Tampa Bay took a different route to victory, beating Atlanta 16-0 without completing a pass in torrential rain. Baker Mayfield attempted only three throws as the Buccaneers relied on their running game. Bucky Irving gained 170 rushing yards and Kenneth Gainwell added 140, helping Tampa Bay finish with a team-record 324 yards on the ground from 56 carries.

Two other games required overtime. Cincinnati overcame Tennessee 43-36 despite Joe Burrow being intercepted three times by Amani Hooker. Arizona beat Dallas 33-30 after Gardner Minshew replaced Jacoby Brissett and threw three fourth-quarter touchdown passes. Chad Ryland missed an extra point after Arizona drew level, then kicked the winning field goal in overtime, leaving the Cowboys with a 3-5 record.
