AJ right to take warm-up before Fury, says their former trainer
Former trainer Jarret Fields has backed Anthony Joshua's pre-fight preparation routine ahead of his December showdown with Tyson Fury, emphasizing the importance of the warm-up in big fights.

Former trainer Jarret Fields has given his backing to Anthony Joshua's pre-fight preparation methods ahead of the highly anticipated December bout with Tyson Fury, stating that the two-time world champion is right to prioritize his warm-up routine.

Watch the highlights:

Fields, who previously worked with Joshua during his amateur career, believes the preparation rituals are crucial for the British heavyweight as he looks to reclaim his position at the top of the division. The former trainer emphasized that Joshua's attention to detail in camp has always been a defining characteristic of his success.

"AJ knows what works for him," Fields said in an exclusive interview. "The warm-up is not just about physically preparing the body - it's about getting the mind right and building that focus before stepping into the ring. In fights of this magnitude, every detail matters."

The December clash between Joshua and Fury has been years in the making, with numerous delays and negotiations standing in the way of the British blockbuster. Both fighters have undergone significant changes since their last major fights, with Joshua rebuilding after back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua has been working with new trainer Ben Davison, formerly of Tyson Fury's corner, in preparation for what promises to be the biggest heavyweight bout in British boxing history. The strategic pairing has raised questions about whether Joshua will adopt any of Fury's signature tactics.

"What matters most is that AJ stays true to himself," Fields added. "He's faced the best in the world and proven himself time and again. The warm-up is part of his ritual, and it works."
