Full 37-Car Field Set for AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway

Kansas Speedway is preparing to host the NASCAR Cup Series for the 2026 AdventHealth 400, and the official entry list confirms a packed 37-driver field for Sunday afternoon's race on the 1.5-mile oval. All 36 full-time charter entries will be represented, with 23XI Racing's Corey Heim rounding out the grid as the only open entry.

This marks the second season in the charter system's relatively short history in which every one of the 36 charter entries has been filled by a committed full-time competitor, underscoring the stability the structure has brought to the grid. Heim's presence as the lone open entry ensures a competitive element remains, with the non-charter driver looking to make the most of his opportunity against the series' established names.

The entry list features a blend of veteran champions and rising talent. Among the former series champions on the entry blank are Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, and Austin Dillon, all of whom bring years of Kansas experience to their respective teams. Busch, a two-time Cup champion and Kansas race winner, will look to add to his strong record at the track in his No. 8 entry for Richard Childress Racing.

Elliott, the 2020 series champion, leads the Hendrick Motorsports contingent in the No. 9, with teammates William Byron in the No. 24 and Alex Bowman in the No. 48 also entered. Team Penske will rely on Joey Logano in the No. 22, Ryan Blaney in the No. 12, and Austin Cindric in the No. 2.

Several drivers will be looking to build on breakthrough seasons. Christopher Bell, who has emerged as a consistent threat on intermediate tracks, enters in the No. 20 for Joe Gibbs Racing. His teammate Ty Gibbs, who has shown dramatic improvement, will wheel the No. 54 Toyota. Zane Smith, who made his full-time Cup debut recently, is entered in the No. 38 for Front Row Motorsports.

Shane van Gisbergen continues his transition to NASCAR with an entry in the No. 97 for Kaulig Racing, having shown flashes of promise on ovals after his dominant road course career in Australia and the United States. Connor Zilisch, another newcomer carving out a Cup Series reputation, is entered in the No. 88 for Trackhouse Racing.

The Kansas race marks the first 1.5-mile track event since Darlington Raceway hosted the series in late March, and teams will be working through the unique challenges that Kansas presents with its variable banking and typically abrasive surface. Practice and qualifying sessions ahead of the race will give drivers a chance to dial in their machines before Sunday's main event.

The O'Reilly Series will not be in action this weekend at Kansas, as the Truck Series takes an off-weekend following its most recent race at Darlington.
