Real Madrid Stuns PSG in Champions League Comeback as Mbappe Haunts Former Club
Kylian Mbappe scores twice against his former team as Real Madrid overturns 2-0 deficit to reach quarterfinals.

Kylian Mbappe delivered a masterclass performance against his former club, scoring twice in the final 20 minutes as Real Madrid completed a stunning 3-2 comeback victory over Paris Saint-Germain at the Santiago Bernabeu. The result sends Los Blancos through to the Champions League quarterfinals with a 4-3 aggregate victory.

PSG appeared to be cruising to the next round after goals from Ousmane Dembele and Randal Kolo Muani gave them a 2-0 lead on the night and seemingly insurmountable 3-1 advantage overall. The French champions controlled the tempo for most of the match, with their high pressing game frustrating Real Madrid's usual free-flowing attack.

However, the complexion of the tie changed dramatically when Vinicius Junior pulled one back in the 71st minute with a curling effort from the edge of the box. The goal energized the Bernabeu crowd and seemed to spark something in the Real Madrid players, who suddenly found another gear.

Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid last summer in one of football's most anticipated transfers, then took center stage against his boyhood club. The French superstar equalized in the 83rd minute with a trademark run and finish, before completing the comeback just four minutes later with a header from close range.

"It's always special to play against PSG," Mbappe said after the match. "They gave me so much, but tonight I had to do my job for Real Madrid. The fans were incredible, and this is what the Champions League is all about - these magical nights at the Bernabeu."

The victory extends Real Madrid's remarkable Champions League pedigree, with the 15-time winners once again showing their ability to deliver when it matters most in European competition. Carlo Ancelotti's side will now await the quarterfinal draw, scheduled for next Friday in Nyon, Switzerland.

For PSG, the defeat represents another painful Champions League exit despite significant investment in recent years. The Parisian club will now focus on securing the Ligue 1 title, where they currently lead by eight points with 12 matches remaining.
