Kyren Wilson overturns deficit to reach International Championship final
Kyren Wilson recovered from 5-3 down to beat Fan Zhengyi 9-6 in Nanjing. He will face John Higgins or Chang Bingyu in the International Championship final.

Kyren Wilson reached the International Championship final with a 9-6 victory over Fan Zhengyi in Nanjing on Thursday, recovering from a two-frame deficit after the opening session. TNT Sports confirmed the result, which keeps the Northern Ireland Open champion in contention for another tournament title.

Watch the highlights:

Fan had taken control of the first session despite Wilson moving 2-1 ahead. The frame-by-frame record published by snooker.org shows Fan winning four of the next five frames, including a break of 103 in the eighth, to establish a 5-3 advantage. Wilson's contributions of 55 and 84 had helped keep him within reach before the interval.

The match changed direction immediately after play resumed. Wilson compiled breaks of 102, 84 and 86 while taking three successive frames to lead 6-5. Fan responded with a 62 to level the match again, but that proved to be his final frame. Wilson won all three that followed to complete the turnaround.

The closest frame of the second session came with the players tied at 6-6. Wilson edged it 68-58, then made a break of exactly 100 to move one frame from victory. A 53 in the fifteenth helped him finish the contest, giving him six of the seven frames played after the interval and two centuries during that decisive session.

Wilson's route through the tournament has included several tight matches. TNT Sports reported that he recovered from 5-3 down against Liam Highfield to win their second-round encounter 6-5. He subsequently defeated Oliver Lines by the same margin in the last 16 before overcoming Ding Junhui 6-4 in the quarter-finals. Fan had reached the semi-finals by beating Hossein Vafaei 6-3, having also eliminated Judd Trump earlier in the competition.

John Higgins and Chang Bingyu will contest the remaining semi-final on Friday, with the final scheduled for Saturday, November 7. Higgins advanced by beating Marco Fu 6-3, while Chang defeated Zhao Xintong by the same score. The championship is being staged at Nanjing's South New City National Fitness Centre, with a first prize of £175,000, according to TNT Sports.
