Lakers Rally Past Celtics in Thrilling 118-115 Overtime Victory
LeBron James scored 31 points as the Lakers overcame a 15-point deficit to defeat Boston in a classic showdown.

The Los Angeles Lakers delivered one of their most memorable performances of the season Sunday night, overcoming a 15-point third-quarter deficit to defeat the Boston Celtics 118-115 in overtime at Crypto.com Arena.

LeBron James led the comeback with 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Anthony Davis contributed 28 points and 12 rebounds in a dominant paint performance. The veteran duo proved once again why they remain among the league's most formidable tandems, especially in clutch moments.

Boston appeared to be in control for most of the game, led by Jayson Tatum's 33-point effort and Jaylen Brown's 26 points. The Celtics built their largest lead at 89-74 midway through the third quarter, but the Lakers responded with a furious rally.

"We never lost belief," James said after the game. "This team has been through adversity before, and we know how to fight back. When it matters most, we find a way to elevate our game."

The turning point came with 4:23 remaining in regulation when Lakers guard Austin Reaves hit consecutive three-pointers to cut the deficit to five. The arena erupted as momentum shifted completely in favor of the home team.

In overtime, Davis dominated the paint while James orchestrated the offense with veteran precision. The Lakers outscored Boston 13-10 in the extra period, with the game-winning basket coming on a Davis hook shot with 47 seconds remaining. The victory improves Los Angeles to 35-21 on the season and strengthens their playoff positioning in the competitive Western Conference.
