Lions end Vikings’ unbeaten start as Broncos rally past Chiefs
Detroit handed Minnesota its first defeat of the season, while Denver overturned an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to take the AFC West lead. Arizona also rallied late to beat Dallas in overtime.

The Detroit Lions ended the Minnesota Vikings' unbeaten start with a 19-15 victory in NFL week eight, while the Denver Broncos fought back to beat the Kansas City Chiefs 28-24. According to BBC Sport's report of Sunday's games, Minnesota had been the league's last unbeaten team. The results also brought a change at the top of the AFC West.

Watch the highlights:

Minnesota arrived at the divisional meeting with a 6-0 record but could not extend that run against its NFC North rival. Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 153 yards and scored a touchdown to help Detroit move to 5-2. The Lions' four-point victory left the Vikings with their first loss and added another divisional result to a weekend featuring several close finishes.

Denver trailed Kansas City by 11 points in the fourth quarter before turning the game around. Patrick Mahomes passed for 321 yards and three touchdowns for the Chiefs, but the Broncos secured victory with a late defensive stand at the goal line. Denver improved to 6-2 and moved above Kansas City, which fell to 5-2, in the AFC West standings.

Dallas suffered another late reversal as Arizona won 33-30 in overtime. The Cardinals were behind 17-3 late in the third quarter when Gardner Minshew replaced Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. Minshew threw three fourth-quarter touchdown passes, helping Arizona draw level near the end of regulation. Running back Tyler Allgeier contributed 147 rushing yards as the visitors recovered from their substantial deficit.

Arizona kicker Chad Ryland missed the extra point after the late tying touchdown, but returned to kick the winning field goal in overtime. Dallas dropped to 3-5. BBC Sport reported that it was only the second time the Cowboys had lost a game after holding a 10-point lead inside the final three minutes, underlining the scale of the Cardinals' comeback.

Elsewhere in the divisional races, Jacksonville beat Indianapolis 42-7 to reach 5-2 and lead the AFC South. Pittsburgh moved to the top of the AFC North at 6-2 with a 26-7 victory over Cleveland. Cincinnati also won, defeating Tennessee 43-36 in overtime despite Joe Burrow being intercepted three times by Amani Hooker. Burrow threw five touchdown passes and added a rushing touchdown in the Bengals' victory.
