Real Madrid Advances to Champions League Quarterfinals with 3-0 Victory Over Napoli
Vinicius Junior scored twice as Los Blancos completed a 4-1 aggregate victory over the Italian side to reach the last eight of Europe's premier competition.

Real Madrid booked their place in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals Tuesday night with a commanding 3-0 victory over Napoli at the Santiago Bernabéu, completing a 4-1 aggregate triumph that showcased their championship pedigree on European football's biggest stage.

Vinicius Junior was the star of the show for Los Blancos, scoring twice in the opening 35 minutes to effectively end Napoli's hopes of mounting a comeback. The Brazilian winger's pace and trickery proved too much for the Italian defense to handle, as he consistently found space in dangerous areas.

"We are very happy to be in the quarterfinals," Vinicius said after the match. "Napoli is a strong team, but we played with intensity and quality tonight. Now we must focus on the next round and continue our dream of winning another Champions League."

Jude Bellingham added a third goal in the 58th minute with a perfectly placed header from Luka Modrić's cross, capping off an impressive team performance that demonstrated why Real Madrid remains the most successful club in Champions League history with 14 titles.

Napoli, the 2023 Serie A champions, struggled to create meaningful chances against Real Madrid's organized defense. The Italian side needed to score at least two goals to have any chance of progressing but found themselves chasing the game from the early stages after Vinicius's quick-fire double.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with his team's professional performance, particularly after they had been criticized for inconsistent displays in recent La Liga matches. "This is the level we need to maintain," Ancelotti said. "In the Champions League, every detail matters, and tonight we were focused from the first minute."

The victory sets up an intriguing quarterfinal stage for Real Madrid, who will learn their next opponent in Friday's draw. With their experience in knockout competition and a squad packed with quality, Los Blancos will be among the favorites to lift the trophy for a record-extending 15th time come the final in Munich.
