NBA All-Star Weekend Showcases Rising Talent and Record-Breaking Performances
This year's All-Star festivities delivered spectacular performances and memorable moments as the league's best talents gathered for the annual celebration.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend concluded with a series of thrilling competitions and record-breaking performances that captivated basketball fans worldwide. Held at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, this year's festivities brought together the league's premier talent for a celebration of skill, athleticism, and entertainment.

The main event, the All-Star Game itself, featured an impressive display of offensive firepower as Team LeBron defeated Team Giannis 211-186 in the highest-scoring All-Star Game in NBA history. The previous record of 196 points was shattered early in the fourth quarter, as both teams prioritized entertainment and highlight-reel plays over defensive intensity.

Boston Celtics guard Jayson Tatum emerged as the game's MVP, recording 55 points on an efficient 20-of-31 shooting performance. Tatum's incredible night included 11 three-pointers, tying the All-Star Game record. His performance was particularly noteworthy given his hometown connection to the St. Louis area, where he spent part of his childhood before his family moved to Boston.

The weekend's individual competitions provided equally memorable moments. In the Three-Point Contest, Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Stephen Curry reclaimed his crown with a finals round score of 31 points, defeating Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro and Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray. Curry's victory marked his third Three-Point Contest championship, adding to his wins in 2015 and 2021.

Saturday night's Slam Dunk Contest saw Phoenix Suns rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama claim the title with a series of innovative dunks that showcased his remarkable combination of height and athleticism. The 7-foot-4 center's winning dunk involved a self-alley-oop off the shot clock, demonstrating the evolution of what's possible in the modern dunk contest.

The weekend also featured the return of several beloved traditions, including the Celebrity Game and the Rising Stars Challenge. The Celebrity Game saw former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson team up with actress Zendaya to lead their squad to victory, while the Rising Stars Challenge highlighted the depth of young talent currently developing across the league.
