Celtics Extend Winning Streak to 12 Games with Dominant Victory
Boston defeats Miami Heat 124-109 behind Jayson Tatum's 41-point performance, maintaining their stranglehold on the Eastern Conference.

The Boston Celtics extended their remarkable winning streak to 12 games with a commanding 124-109 victory over the Miami Heat at TD Garden on Thursday night. Jayson Tatum erupted for a season-high 41 points, including seven three-pointers, as the Celtics continued their dominant march toward the playoffs with just weeks remaining in the regular season.

Tatum's explosive performance came at the perfect time for Boston, who entered the game looking to bounce back from a sluggish first half in their previous outing. The All-Star forward was locked in from the opening tip, hitting his first four shots and never looking back. His 41 points marked the highest scoring output by any player this season against Miami's typically stout defense.

"When JT gets going like that, we're a different team," said Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla after the victory. "His shot-making ability opens up everything else for us. You saw how it affected our ball movement and defensive energy tonight."

Jaylen Brown contributed 28 points and 8 rebounds to complement Tatum's stellar night, while Kristaps Porzingis added 18 points and 9 rebounds in his return from a brief ankle injury. The Celtics shot an impressive 52% from the field and knocked down 18 three-pointers, showcasing the offensive firepower that makes them the favorites heading into the postseason.

Miami, despite the loss, received strong performances from Jimmy Butler (24 points) and Bam Adebayo (19 points, 12 rebounds). However, the Heat struggled to contain Boston's perimeter attack and fell behind by double digits in the second quarter, never fully recovering despite several mini-runs.

With the victory, Boston improves to 54-14 on the season and maintains a comfortable lead atop the Eastern Conference standings. The 12-game winning streak represents the longest for the franchise since their championship season, and the team appears to be peaking at the perfect time as they prepare for what they hope will be a deep playoff run.
