Sunil Chhetri

Sunil Chhetri was born on August 3, 1984, in Secunderabad, Telangana, India, into a sporting family with his father serving in the Indian Army. Growing up in various cities due to his father's postings, Chhetri developed a passion for football early, playing in the streets and school grounds wherever his family was stationed. He joined the Mohun Bagan youth academy and quickly rose through the ranks, making his professional debut in 2002 at age 18.
