François Trinh-Duc carved out a distinguished career as one of France's most creative and intelligent fly-halves during a golden era of French rugby. Born on November 20, 1986, in Montpellier, France, to a French father and Vietnamese mother, Trinh-Duc brought flair, vision, and tactical acumen to the number 10 jersey for both club and country.

Trinh-Duc's rugby education began in the youth ranks of Montpellier Hérault Rugby, his hometown club. From an early age, he displayed the characteristics that would define his career: excellent game management, precise kicking, and the ability to unlock defenses with his passing and running. His performances for Montpellier's youth teams caught the attention of national selectors, and he progressed through France's age-grade teams.

He made his professional debut for Montpellier in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of French rugby's most promising talents.
