Remco Evenepoel, born January 25, 2000, in Schepdaal, Belgium, is one of the most gifted cyclists of the 21st century. A Vuelta a Espana winner, World Champion, and Olympic time trial champion.
A talented junior footballer turned cyclist, he won the Junior World Championship in both time trial and road race in 2018. His career nearly ended in a 2020 crash off a bridge at the Tour of Lombardy, but he returned stronger.
The 2022 season was his masterpiece: winning the Vuelta as the youngest winner since 1904, then the World Championship road race in Wollongong. He added Olympic time trial gold in Paris 2024.
