George Malik Pickens IV was born on March 4, 2001, in Hoover, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham known for producing elite football talent. At Hoover High School, Pickens emerged as one of the nation's premier wide receiver prospects, combining impressive size with remarkable athleticism and an innate ability to make difficult catches look routine.

As a senior at Hoover High, Pickens caught 69 passes for 1,629 yards and 16 touchdowns, earning him recognition as one of the top receivers in his class. His highlight-reel catches and competitive nature attracted attention from college programs across the country, ultimately leading him to commit to the University of Georgia.

At Georgia, Pickens quickly established himself as a key contributor to the Bulldogs' championship aspirations.
