Patricio Freire

Patricio de Souza Freire, known universally by his nickname Pitbull, was born on July 7, 1987, in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Growing up in the northeastern region of Brazil, one of the country's economically disadvantaged areas, Freire turned to martial arts as both an outlet and a path to a better life. He began training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and later added wrestling and striking to his arsenal, developing into a well-rounded mixed martial artist with an aggressive, pressure-heavy style.

Freire and his brother Patricky, who also became a professional fighter, trained together under the Pitbull Brothers banner, building a reputation in Brazilian MMA circles for their toughness and technical skill.
