Dan Henderson

Daniel Scott Henderson was born on August 24, 1970, in Downey, California. Growing up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Henderson was drawn to competitive sports from an early age. He excelled in wrestling throughout his youth, eventually earning a spot on the United States Greco-Roman wrestling team. Henderson competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, representing his country on the world's biggest sporting stage before transitioning to mixed martial arts.

Henderson began his MMA career in 1997, quickly establishing himself as a formidable competitor in the emerging sport. His wrestling pedigree gave him an immediate advantage, but it was his punching power that truly set him apart.
