Yuta Kinoshita was born in Chiba Prefecture in 1998, discovering golf at age seven when his grandfather, a single-digit handicapper, took him to a local driving range. The precision and mental discipline required by golf resonated immediately with young Kinoshita, who spent countless hours perfecting his fundamentals on the practice range. Kinoshita's junior career in Japan was exceptional, winning multiple national championships and earning a scholarship to the University of Southern California.
